Episode 10: What it Really Looks Like to Pursue and Achieve Your Dreams with Comedian and Writer Liz Miele

In this episode of Thriving Together, I sit down with one of my closest friends Liz Miele, a successful stand-up comedian. Liz made her debut in the New York comedy scene as a determined and precocious 16-year-old.  By 18, she was turning heads with a profile in the humor issue of The New Yorker Magazine.

Liz was already a “veteran” at 24, and is now a regular at the best clubs in the city, including Carolines, Gotham, and Comic Strip Live.

She tackles topics such as interracial dating, fear of walking home alone, and mental illness in her family with a sarcastic wit and youthful charm. She was recently featured on Comedy Central’s Live at Gotham and has also appeared on The Late Show, The Daily Show, and The WE Network.

Here’s a summary of what you can expect from this episode:

  • Thriving as a woman in a male-dominated industry
  • How to maintain strong friendships
  • The importance of hard work, accepting criticism, and personal development
  • Valuable insights on building a successful career in a challenging industry
